Simple Woman's Day
I am thinking... that I miss Rob. I don't like when he works nights
I am thankful for...understanding people. Jase used the bathroom at Applebees today and he wasn't quite tucked in. Needless to say there was a big mess on the floor. But the employees there just laughed and cleaned it up with out one complaint.
From the kitchen... Henny curled up sleeping.
I am wearing... plaid shorts and a brown top.
I am reading... another Anita Blake novel-Obsidian Butterfly
I am hoping... Rob doesn't get screwed out of a day of work like they tend to do when they work nights
I am creating... a huge pile of clean clothes that I really need to put away so I can go to bed soon.
I am hearing... the dryer.
Around the house... are little signs of our camping trip. Sleeping bags are washed and rolled up in our room waiting to be put away, Jase's glow necklace is on his dresser, a picture of my dad, Rob and Jase on the jumping pillow is on desk top, and a my camping purse is on the door knob cause I haven't changed it back over.
One of my favorite things... listening to Jase tell stories of the things he's done. Is is amazing how well he remember things.
A few plans for the rest of the week...lunch with Kelli and Brandon tomorrow, and the July 4th celebrations start Thur. night!

Simple Woman's Day
Outside my window... is a beautiful moon shining through the tress.
I am thinking... that today I really had fun with Jase playing outside in his tent.
I am thankful for... the beautiful day God blessed us with. My skin still feels warm from all the sunshine we had today.
From the kitchen... I see Alice in the laundry room/pantry looking for some TP.
I am wearing... my bathing suit and a cover up with shorts.
I am reading... another Anita Blake novel- The Killing Dance.
I am hoping... I can work out baby sitting arangements for Tus. so I don't have to take the day off.
I am creating... a file of pictures to do something special for an over due present for somebody special.
I am hearing... the NBA finals playing in the living room.
Around the house... everyone is tucking themselves into bed and silence is taking hold of the night.
One of my favorite things... is this little bit of time I have to myself at night before I crawl into bed myself.
A few plans for the rest of the week...clean the house cause they are calling for more rain so we'll be stuck inside and then enjoy the weekend dedicated to Miss. Sara.

The Animals at the Zoo
There were snakes of colors and sizes.
The aquamarine life was breathtaking with some of the largest crustaceans I've ever seen!
I didn't even know there were so many different types of lizards
Cartoons are always showing bears climbing up into trees...but until today, I've never seen it before.
The seal was one of the most entertaining animals today as he tickled himself with his tail while perched on his rock.
Jase told us on the way home that the turtles were his favorite. He enjoyed the small water turtle just as much as the 50 year old tortoises.
The monkeys/orangutans/apes were as entertaining as always.
And there were a few others that we really enjoyed.

Family Photo Friday
I chose this as my Family Photo Friday picture in honor of Phillip's 21st birthday. Since he turned 21 yesterday, I figured I'd pick a picture with him in it. This was taken on our 2007 camping trip. The guys (Rob, Phillip, Dad, and Sonny) thought they were so tough after tearing up the minature golf course. If I remember right, I think Sonny finished with the best score. So Sonny!!!Charlotte Race
The Army put on a really good pre-race show. And where we were sitting the helicopters were flying right over our heads. My favorite part was when the parachutters came down and attempted to land on the 'X'. A couple of them actually landed right in the center of it. And two of them came down attached to one another. It was really amazing.
But then....
The cloud rolled in, and didn't roll out. And our smiles turned to frowns as the race got called.
I still had a really good time, though. They raced the next day, but the only racing we saw were the cars on the highway beside us racing home from their holiday weekends.
