Family Photo Friday

I love this photo!
I remember riding those Big Wheels around. I don't remember our house ever being blue (I think that is our house). But I remember the sound of those plastic tires roaring down the road. And of course, leave it to me to be outside playing like that in a dress.

The Storm Begins

The talk of the town this week has been the monster storm that is supposed to hit our area today. Rumor says it is going to be the the biggest and worst snow storm that we have ever seen! Accumulation is estimated between 6 inches to 4 feet of snow! (Our specific area is in the 2-4 feet range). Plus, we are still covered in a blanket of snow from the foot that fell last weekend.
And it has officially started. I am at work and have been keeping a close eye on the happenings outside to judge when I need to start heading home. At at exactly 10:00 AM we saw the first flakes fall. In the time it took me to move my car from the top of the drive at work to the bottom, it went from a few flakes, to coming down steady.
I will update as the storm progresses...considering we will probably be snowed in for awhile...what else will I have to do? LOL

Missing Mom Monday- Week 1

A new challenge: 52 weeks of shoot me! I came across this on another blog and I think it is a fantastic idea! I am tired of never being in the pictures that are takin of my family because I am always behind the camera. So once a week for the next 52 weeks I will post a picture of me doing something with my boy!

This first picture is from the weekend after yet another snow storm. Once again, we got too much snow for Jase to really play in it. I carried him into the middle of the yard for this picture, then got up and walked away. You should have seen the poor little think trying to just take a step. And YES! I did go back and get him!

Family Photo Friday

Since the temperature has dropped rapidly and they are calling for snow...I figured I would reminisce about the warmer days. This picture was taken on our 2007 camping trip; which happened to be Jase's first camping trip. It was also Julie and Anna's first camping trip, too. Besides Christmas, this is the event I look forward to most each year! During this particular trip, we lived in the pool! Actually, we took over the pool! It was like we were in one pool and everyone else in the camp grounds was in the other pool! There were beach ball games, chicken fights and wrestling matches all taking place in the water. Ahh...good times!

Family Photo Friday

This is an amazing charcoal sketch of Kaylee and Kaden. I love that I can post this as a Family Friday Photo. We were blessed when my Uncle married Sue, that we not only got her as a new member of our family, but we also got her family. What an amazing group of people we got to welcome into our family. Kaylee and Kaden are Sue's grandchildren. The artist that drew this is so talented, but the adorable subjects made her job pretty easy!

Family Photo Friday

It was retro week on face book, which had me digging through old photographs, which led me to finding this one and I just love it! The only family photos I have of my entire family we are all dressed up for Easter or posing on the beach...nothing really candid. I love the candidness of this! It almost looks like my dad took it of us. We do that all the time now-a-days, but never with a Polaroid camera...which is what this was.

Family Photo Friday

It was so nice getting to spend some time my brother and his family during the holidays. I hate that they moved so far away. I never imagined I would miss them as much as I do (even you Kristen! LOL). I feel like every time I see them Sonny's voice gets deeper, Makenzie's getting more beautiful, and they both have grown a foot! I love you guys and I can't wait to see you gain in a few weeks! Smooches!
