Jase was the only boy for so long and is just so excited now to have Rudd living so close. They spent the day playing at Aunt Phyllis's during Lucy's baby shower. Jase said he wanted to take Rudd home with us so he could sleep at our house. After baby number 4 gets here, Lucy just make take him up on that offer!

Missing Mom Monday- Week 26

Today was parents vs. kids day at soccer practice. I had given the coach's daughter, Leah, my camera and told her to take as many pictures as she wanted. She captured this shot of me giving Jase a hard time during the middle of the game. Is tickling a foul in soccer?

I have been digging up photos of my mom with various family members for a special book I am making for her birthday and I came across this one. Here is my mom holding Jase when he was under an hour old.

Simple Woman's Day

Outside my window... I see my filthy car with a large mass of bird turd right on the hood.

I am thankful for...this beautiful weather. It was perfect for Jase's party, and has cooled off so that working in the warehouse isn't a nightmare.

From the kitchen... I hear the Mindel's birds squawking up a storm.

I am wearing... gray jean capris, and a black top.

I am reading... "Along Came a Spider" by James Patterson. I've ready a lot of the Detective Cross novels already, but its been a while. So, I've started all over.

I am hoping... that I can find the present that I want to get Jase's friend, Haley. I found it on line, now I just hope the store actually has it.

I am creating... absolutely nothing at the moment. I have been creating so much stuff over the last couple weeks that I am enjoying this relaxation.

I am hearing... B telling me he's done his work. Good thing I'm almost done this post.

A few plans for the rest of the week...go to the fair, Haley's birthday party, church, then Lucy's baby shower. Busy Busy Busy!!!

Missing Mom Monday- Week 25

I know I have missed a couple Monday posts, but I promise I will try harder to keep up them. This picture was from Jase's first day of school. We enrolled him in a 2-day-a-week pre-k program. I am so proud of myself for not crying at all! Oh yeah, and him, for being such a big school boy!

This was the perfect photo for today since this weekend we will be celebrating Jase's 4th birthday and the start of the 2010 NFL season with the big opening night Redskins v. Dallas game. A little flash back for my baby boy and a little team spirit for my boys on the field!

This picture was taken two years when Rob coached a flag football team. We were packed up and walking across the field after an early Saturday morning game. That coaching gig was the first time we got involved with the Upward organization. It is such a great sports program for young children. It not only teaches the kids how to play a variety of sports, but it also teaches them Christian values and the importantness of good sportsmanship and Christ-like behavior. Now, we are involved with Upward again. That is the league Jase is playing soccer in. And he has his first game this weekend. We are so excited!
