This was the perfect photo for today since this weekend we will be celebrating Jase's 4th birthday and the start of the 2010 NFL season with the big opening night Redskins v. Dallas game. A little flash back for my baby boy and a little team spirit for my boys on the field!

This picture was taken two years when Rob coached a flag football team. We were packed up and walking across the field after an early Saturday morning game. That coaching gig was the first time we got involved with the Upward organization. It is such a great sports program for young children. It not only teaches the kids how to play a variety of sports, but it also teaches them Christian values and the importantness of good sportsmanship and Christ-like behavior. Now, we are involved with Upward again. That is the league Jase is playing soccer in. And he has his first game this weekend. We are so excited!

A Bunch of WV Hillbilly's

This was a small family reunion at my grandma's house 8 years ago. I chose it for today's photo because it has been the photo of discussion among the family on facebook. We have been trying to identify all the little kids. Thanks to Sherry, I think we've got it all figured out now. Front row of kids are Sonny, then we think the next boy and the little girl are Paula's kids, then one of Sherry's son's friends, then Sherry's son Cody. I love getting together with these guys. They are the nicest and sweetest bunch of people you will ever meet!

Simple Woman's Day

Outside my window... the nearly full moon is beautiful in the night sky.

I am thankful for...wonderful friends who let us come spend a few days in at the beach with them.

From the kitchen... I can hear the NASCAR commentators congratulating Kyle Busch (THE MAN) for making history and sweeping all three races this weekend.

I am wearing... green/brown capris and a black tank top.

I am reading... "Letters to Jennifer" by James Patterson.

I am hoping... that I don't stress out with all the exciting/busy events we have coming up over the next few weeks and allow myself to enjoy them.

I am creating... superhero capes for Jase's birthday. Well, I'm in the preliminary stages of researching materials costs and patterns, but that is part of the creating process.

I am hearing... the continuing celebration of Kyle Busch's amazing task tonight.

A few plans for the rest of the week...are to go to church and clean the house while Rob is playing in his football tournament. It is some much easier to clean when he isn't here.

This is one of my favorite pictures. Rob and Jase were sitting on the beach in St. Augustine, FL. soaking up the sun. I actually submitted this photo to Comcast's Photo of the Day and they posted it. How awesome is that?!?
